Sit Back and Relax

Readers interested in developing learning resources for inclusion in Blackboard that are easily readable on screen and meet accessibility guidelines might be interested in the Sit Back and Relax website (http://www.techdis.ac.uk/ebooks/Home.htm). The site, created by Bruce Ingraham and Emma Bradburn of the University of Teesside, contains style sheets and guidelines for the creation of readable/accessible text as well as a study of the potential using eBooks in support of learners. The research reported on the site was funded by the Open Learning Foundation, the JISC (through TechDis) and by an ILTHE Small Grant.
